These haven't changed anything, and now, I am stumped. I have set power settings in the NVidia control panel to prefer max performance, I have set link state management in PC power settings to Off. I understand this is part of some new tech that NVidia implemented, and the card "thinks" that at these lower levels, it's producing a good experience (and of course, it isn't). Benchmarks work fine, they ramp up the card to where it needs to be to produce as much FPS as possible. After running tests, I determined it is because my GTX 1080 is keeping its core clock at 3/4ths what the max clock should be, as well as keeping the voltage at around 2/3rds of the max (max in this case is the value if running a benchmark) during VR experiences (even during some non-vr games). So I've been noticing sub-par quality lately with my VR experience.
